Experiences and inspiration

My fitness activity habit started when I was young. When I was young, my dad wanted to introduce me to different sports and activities. When I was a kid, I was a little chubby, and I needed to go out, make friends and play. When I was eight years old, he took me to a Taekwondo class, let me try it, and asked me, "Do you want to continue?" From that day until now, I have never thought of changing that choice. I went to several training halls and learned Taekwondo, Tang Soo Doo, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, etc. I love training self-defense like this and it is an important part of my life. I gained a lot from it, and learned a few things...

-There is right and there is wrong

-Whatever you start, you finish

-responsibility

-respect

-Healthy habitsI

I had some anger issues as a child. Martial arts, especially hitting a punching bag, helped with that.

After I became accustomed to martial arts, I discovered...PowerliftingI I used to only like doing bodyweight exercises. But I have a good friend who likes taekwondo and weightlifting. He introduced me to how to lift weights, add muscle, and increase my physical strength. He eventually opened his own gym and also became my personal trainer, taking me to compete in a weightlifting competition. That's when I discovered that the training provided me with both physical and mental challenges .Now, we are writing a book about physical health and mental health. The name is "Live Equipped." It means that through exercise, especially powerlifting, we will learn something about the health of our bodies and the health of our souls. (More about this later!)

When I think about this topic, I think about the Bible saying, "Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and the one to come.” 1 Timothy 5:8

When it comes to training, you must learn to know yourself and use correct form. You can only make progress through undergoing hardship. If you don't pay attention to form, you will get injured and make no progress. You should look at your form constantly, pay attention to any negative thinking (it attacks right before your heavy working set and ruins that PR!) and listen to what your coach says. You will definitely become healthier and happier!
